Job description
The codec deep video processing team at Apple is focused on developing machine learning algorithms to enhance user visual experiences. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will collaborate with various teams on multiple projects, contributing from data curation to model development. This role emphasizes the creation of next-generation video processing features that will impact millions of users. You will be responsible for identifying and developing machine learning solutions to optimize and productize these features.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience evaluating supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning models.
- Proficiency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of principles, algorithms, and techniques used in machine learning and video processing.
- PhD or Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Knowledge of low-level vision algorithms including spatial and temporal image/video processing.
- Experience working with multimodal large language models (MLLMs) such as image-text and video-audio systems.
- Experience evaluating generative and multimodal models, including benchmarking and quality assessment.
- Publication record in top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
