Job description
The iPhone team is seeking experienced Hardware Design Engineers who are passionate about making impactful design decisions that enhance the user experience for millions of iPhone users. This unique position involves working from product concept through to mass production, allowing you to influence the overall design significantly. You will collaborate with a creative and passionate team in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for international travel. Your role will focus on the design and integration of custom hardware into constrained systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including analog and high-speed digital design
- Broad experience across different applications and technologies
- Proven track record of leading dynamic multi-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult or intermittent hardware issues
- Familiarity with schematic capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout
Responsibilities
- Lead designs that push the boundaries of technology and improve the iPhone user experience
- Work daily with multi-functional technology teams in a collaborative environment
- Analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
- Drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive attitude
- Design and validate prototypes with custom silicon
- Utilize scripting languages to assist with hardware development
