This position is part of a new SRE team dedicated to foundational security services, working closely with the ASE Security development team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures and incident response protocols. The ideal candidate will help shape the future of security standards and drive the adoption of minimum security requirements across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in a Site Reliability Engineering infrastructure focused role.
  • Significant experience in at least one programming language such as Python, Golang, Java, Rust, C#, or C++.
  • Deep knowledge of Linux security primitives, systems, packaging, container security, and SELinux.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking, and storage.

Responsibilities

  • Define and advocate for a common set of minimum security requirements.

  • Enhance the overall security posture of the organization through automation tools.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of large scale, highly available, distributed systems.

Benefits

Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
