The role of ISE Sr. Engineering Manager focuses on improving the software development and testing processes for Apple's intelligence platform. You will lead a developer tools and quality engineering team, collaborating with managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to enhance the developer and customer experience. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for quality, automation, and efficiency. You will also be responsible for managing project status and expectations with stakeholders.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 15+ years of professional engineering experience
- 10+ years of building and managing engineering teams
- Experience managing multiple teams including other managers
- Proven track record of delivering infrastructure and developer focused tools and automation
- Demonstrated ownership of large cross-functional and multi-team projects
- Proven technical leadership including ML experience
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide leadership for a developer tools and quality engineering team.
- Contribute to the roadmap, platform strategy, and resource planning.
- Own the delivery of platforms, services, and support.
- Foster relationships across Apple and facilitate communication between cross-divisional groups.
- Communicate project status to leads and executives.
- Present in program sponsorship reviews and give product demos.
- Measure and improve the software development lifecycle through direct and indirect leadership.
