Job description
Apple is seeking a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) panel design engineer to lead the design, development, and launch of advanced display technologies for Apple products. The role involves working within the TFT panel design team to ensure optimal display performance through innovative panel designs. The engineer will focus on various aspects of TFT design, including modeling, simulation, and integrated circuit design. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors is essential to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on experience and proven track record in the design and development of display technologies such as OLED or LCD.
- Ability to perform circuit layout, parasitic RC extraction, circuit modeling, and SPICE simulation.
- Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field plus 3 years of TFT or related industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop total TFT pixel and panel designs.
- Conduct TFT device design, modeling, simulation, and characteristics measurement.
- Perform pixel and panel design, layout, and parasitic parameter extraction.
- Engage in failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving.
- Explore and validate new TFT technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including TFT process, Display Optics, and Mechanical Engineering.
- Travel internationally to support project implementation.
