The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing Foundation Models for Apple Intelligence features. This position involves end-to-end development of large language models and agentic systems, focusing on improving model training and evaluation efficiency. The engineer will collaborate with research, infrastructure, and product teams to create robust training pipelines and integrate AI capabilities into real-world applications. This role requires a blend of deep modeling expertise and strong engineering skills, contributing to the technical direction of the ML platform powering Apple products.

• 5+ years of hands-on ML engineering experience, with at least 1+ years working directly on large language models or generative AI.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLM training workflows, including pretraining, supervised fine-tuning, or preference optimization.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, testing, code reviews, and production reliability.
• Demonstrated publication records in relevant conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR.
• Direct experience with agentic systems, including tool use, environment design, or reinforcement learning.
• Experience with building or operating training environments or simulators.
