Job description

As a Third-Party IP Engineering Program Manager at Apple, you will play a crucial role in integrating external custom IPs into groundbreaking chip designs. This position involves collaborating with engineering teams, operations, legal, and vendors to ensure that third-party IPs meet technical, quality, and schedule requirements. You will manage complex technical relationships and drive resolution of issues related to IP development and silicon validation. Your expertise in analog and digital custom IP development will be essential in influencing the performance of future Apple devices.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering field and 3+ years of experience in Analog/Digital Circuit Design or working with Analog and/or Digital IP integration in ASIC/SOC/VLSI Designs.
  • Good knowledge of the IP development process, tools/flows and methodologies, and silicon validation of the IP.
  • 1+ years in Technical Program or Project Management, or Functional Management experience.
  • Experience working with IP vendors or IP providers.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, including executive communication.
  • Experience in a dynamic engineering environment with strong multi-tasking and conflict resolution skills.
  • Programming language experience in Python or Perl.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that third-party IPs meet technical, quality, and schedule requirements for Apple products.
  • Coordinate releases and drive, track, and resolve issues associated with third-party IP development.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between Apple engineering teams, operations, legal, and third-party vendors.
  • Identify and drive resolution of technical issues by collaborating with the right experts.
  • Manage complex dependencies and track progress while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical discussions and work with the team to develop scoping, schedules, and solutions to issues.
  • Continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools.
