The Senior Engineering Program Manager for the AI Infrastructure team at Apple will focus on building the next generation of Machine Learning models. This role involves managing the ML Compute Platform, which supports internal developers with scalable compute services for the machine learning lifecycle. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams and product managers to enhance engineering efficiencies and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will also lead the adoption of new technologies and manage interactions with public cloud providers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product and/or technical program management experience in distributed computing and large scale cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with large scale GPU-based AI applications, such as Natural Language Processing and Recommendation.
- Proficiency in multitasking and leading complex programs with cross-functional teams.
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of work experience in product/program management or solutions architecture.
Responsibilities
- Drive and influence the compute roadmap for Apple's machine learning use cases.
- Identify and adopt new technologies to enhance the ML Compute Platform.
- Lead interactions with public cloud providers like AWS and GCP.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve engineering efficiencies and ensure resiliency.
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the ML Compute Platform.
