Job description

This role is part of a dynamic engineering group at Apple, focusing on the design and analysis of wireless power products. Candidates will engage in innovative challenges related to power technology and contribute to the development of groundbreaking products. The position requires a strong foundation in electromagnetic theory and finite element analysis. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience in designing inductive power links.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in power electronics or a related area.
  • Understanding of the physics of magnetic materials and experience with transformer theory.
  • Background in electromagnetics and familiarity with Maxwell's equations.
  • Experience with COMSOL and/or Maxwell FEA simulation tools.
  • Experience with power transfer architectures such as inverter and rectifier designs.
  • Familiarity with common lab equipment and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, simulation, testing, and analysis of wireless power products.
  • Conduct finite element analysis modeling of the magnetic field.
  • Work on highly technical topics related to Apple's latest products in power technology.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Design inductive power links with mass production intent.
