Job description

This role focuses on creating innovative systems and components that have never been made before at Apple. The engineer will collaborate with electrical and cross-functional teams to define and analyze electrical components, ensuring high performance and efficiency. The position requires a balance of innovation and practicality, with an emphasis on improving designs. Candidates should be open to learning and adapting to new tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with modeling systems comprised of mixed-signal components using Verilog/VAMS, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, etc.
  • Experience with electrical systems architecture and performance, power, size tradeoff analyses.
  • Experience with design and simulation of analog and mixed-mode circuits and systems.
  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience with A/MS circuits analysis tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Xcelium.
  • Familiarity with FEA tools and multi-physics components modeling.
  • Strong communication skills and a systematic, rigorous approach to engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate complex components for new systems.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering teams to define electrical components.
  • Assemble models that predict the behavior of electrical components.
  • Perform analyses to confirm functionality and performance of designs.
  • Identify opportunities for improving new designs for higher efficiency and accuracy.
