Job description
Apple is seeking Panel Process & Device Engineers to innovate display technology across its products. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and panel suppliers to develop high-performance display panels. Requirements
- PhD or an MS with 3 years of experience in engineering and science.
- Strong background knowledge of flat panel display materials, equipment, processes, and metrology.
- Experience in TFT/MOSFET device engineering and modeling, material science, or mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in English written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and implement novel materials and advanced processes for display panels.
- Conduct field tests, simulations, and panel validations from proof of concept to productivity verification.
- Oversee and co-develop equipment used in thin film, photo lithography, or etching processes.
- Collaborate closely with teams in California and industrial partners in Asia.
- Lead the optimization of TFT and panel manufacturing processes for future products.
- Explore new materials and technologies to enhance performance for next-generation products.
- Conduct numerical modeling, mechanical simulation, and device simulation for product design and optimization.
