Job description

The role of Core Technology Quality Engineer at Apple focuses on driving quality improvement actions for future products. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure high-quality manufacturing processes. Engineers will engage early in product development to validate and verify quality at each development stage. The team is dedicated to enabling mass production capabilities and fostering relationships with capable suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in high-volume manufacturing, quality engineering, or development of consumer electronics or components
  • MS or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Deep knowledge of component manufacturing methods relevant to Core Technologies
  • Strong statistical and data analytics skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive quality improvement actions on future products
  • Enable mass production capable manufacturing processes
  • Develop plans to validate and verify new product quality at each development landmark
  • Approach problems using engineering methods and make data-driven decisions
  • Bring up capable suppliers that can execute at a high level on an ongoing basis
