Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment design and qualification
- BSME or equivalent degree
- 3+ years in an engineering role with experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment
- Ability to travel approximately 30-35%
- Knowledgeable in crafting machine qualification requirements, design of experiments, and failure analysis
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles is favorable
- Proven track record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design required
- JMP, Minitab & Six Sigma experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Innovate precision assembly and measurement processes
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment yield, efficiency, and speed
- Act as a key stakeholder in design-for-manufacturing and process development
- Conduct assembly tolerance analysis that impacts design, cost, and quality
- Understand and build tolerance analysis for parts and assemblies
- Communicate effectively in a worldwide environment
- Utilize knowledge of optics principles related to CCD cameras and lasers for positioning and alignment machines
- Work with robotics, pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, and control systems
