Job description

In this role, you will be part of the Analog & Mixed-Signal (AMS) team at Apple, focusing on designing and delivering hard IPs for various products. The position requires a forward-thinking analog/mixed-signal engineer with expertise in SERDES, high-speed data converters, and PLLs. You will work on innovative circuits that enhance user experiences and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology. This role offers opportunities for personal growth and collaboration with multi-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts such as mismatch mitigation and low-noise techniques.
  • Experience with high-speed digital circuits including serializers and de-serializers.
  • Design experience in advanced CMOS technologies like FinFET technology.
  • Hands-on experience with AMS IC development from definition to high-volume production.
  • Experience in lab testing of mixed-signal circuits using various testing equipment.
  • Ability to build VerilogA/AMS behavioral models and analyze characterization data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits including SERDES and high-speed data converters.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to architect and design innovative circuits.
  • Drive mask design to implement layout views of designs.
  • Coordinate with IP consumers to define production and bench-level test plans.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure designs meet specification targets.
  • Lead characterization data analysis from lab and volume testing.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
