Job description

This role seeks extraordinary software engineers with extensive experience in scalable batch and streaming processing systems. The team focuses on advancing Apple's data infrastructure by implementing innovative capabilities and tools. Engineers will collaborate with open source data experts to enhance and automate infrastructure management across data centers and cloud services. The work will contribute to the resilience, scalability, and performance of systems supporting millions of users worldwide.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Demonstrated aptitude as an engineer who has worked on distributed systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience running production applications using Apache Spark.
  • BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Apache Iceberg and Apache Kafka.
  • Experience working on or building connectors from Spark to various data sources.
  • Knowledge of Yarn, Kubernetes, or other compute substrates.
