The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) team is seeking extraordinary machine learning engineers and researchers to develop next-generation search features for Apple's devices and platforms. This team powers search functionalities across various Apple services, including the App Store and Apple Music, and is known for its innovative breakthroughs. Engineers in this role will work on secure, end-to-end solutions while maintaining a commitment to Apple's privacy policy. • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related subject area
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong industry experience with search, classification, regression, recommendation systems, or related fields
• Knowledge of ML models using Transformers, Large Language Models, Reinforcement Learning, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
• Deep understanding of search and information retrieval fundamentals
• Experience in training and evaluating machine learning models using Python/PyTorch/TensorFlow
• Experience building big data pipelines with Scala and Spark
• Experience in distributed computing and micro-services architecture
• Experience with GoLang is a plus
• Familiarity with A/B experimentation and data-driven product development
• Experience leading technical aspects for complex multi-functional projects
