Job description

The RF Systems Engineering team at Apple is seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to enhance the overall system performance of multi-radio coexistence across various wireless technologies. This role involves working on challenges related to Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape upcoming products that will delight millions of customers. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional partners and hands-on experimentation to address multi-radio coexistence issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience on at least one radio technology such as Cellular, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, NFC, or UWB.
  • Knowledge of RF component characteristics and experience using lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of wireless architectures including front-end, antenna sharing, and link budget line-up.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering with 10+ years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with chipset teams to define RF/wireless system-level requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assess platform-level multi-radio coexistence performance.
  • Perform hardware failure analysis at the RF/wireless system level.
  • Propose design and process changes for multi-radio coexistence issues.
  • Review designs and sign-off on releases of PCB layouts and system-level groundings.
  • Execute validation and characterization test plans to meet performance targets.
  • Track validation status, analyze results, and communicate insights from data.
  • Evaluate multi-functional change requests and update characterization plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with RF Test Engineers to bring up devices for validation.
  • Perform experiments using hardware mock-ups and system prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners for circuit-level and system-level simulations.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
