Job description
The HomeKit team is looking for a dedicated engineer to enhance the home automation platform and improve user experiences. This role involves developing technologies that facilitate secure and intelligent home connectivity. The engineer will work across various layers of the software stack, including protocol design and developer APIs. The goal is to create an exceptional home automation experience that customers will love.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in one or more object-oriented languages such as Objective-C, Swift, or C++.
- Excellent experience with operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking, and distributed system architecture.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with a passion for product quality and attention to detail.
- Experience shipping real products to customers.
- Experience with Smart Home technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop the home automation platform to enable accessories, iOS devices, and applications to work together.
- Work on different layers of the software stack, including protocol design and implementation.
- Define the customer experience and enhance existing features.
