Job description
The Cellular RF Systems Engineering team at Apple is seeking a motivated engineer to contribute to the development of Cellular architectures. This role focuses on optimizing current RF systems and defining next-generation transceiver and front-end solutions. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to implement innovative concepts for future products. A strong background in RF systems and communication technologies is essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience are required.
- Solid understanding of RF systems and transmitter/receiver architectures is necessary.
- Strong background in math and physics, particularly in electromagnetic principles, is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, especially in a multi-functional environment.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or MATLAB for simulation and data analysis is needed.
- More than 5 years of proven experience in RF systems engineering or more than 10 years in communications circuit design is required.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture of transceiver and front-end systems.
- Optimize current RF systems and define next-generation solutions.
- Set critical system requirements and develop high-performance control algorithms.
- Collaborate closely with base-band architecture, transmitter and receiver architecture teams, and software engineering.
- Evaluate system requirements to ensure robust and optimal solutions.
- Apply Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning for system-level trade-off analysis when applicable.
