Job description
In this role, you will be part of the Analog & Mixed-Signal (AMS) team at Apple, focusing on designing and delivering hard IPs for Apple's products. The position requires a forward-thinking analog/mixed-signal engineer with expertise in various circuits such as SERDES, high-speed data converters, and PLLs. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative products that impact millions of customers. This role emphasizes ownership of development processes and collaboration with multi-functional teams to achieve design goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal engineering
- In-depth knowledge of analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation and low-power techniques
- Experience with high-speed digital circuits such as serializers and de-serializers
- Design experience in advanced CMOS technologies including FinFET technology
- Hands-on experience with AMS IC development from definition to high-volume production
- Experience in lab testing of mixed-signal circuits and using testing equipment like spectrum analyzers
- Ability to build VerilogA/AMS behavioral models and analyze characterization data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of analog and mixed-signal circuits including SERDES and high-speed data converters.
- Work with multi-functional teams to architect and design innovative analog/mixed-signal circuits.
- Drive mask design to implement layout views of designs.
- Coordinate with IP consumers to define production and bench-level test plans.
- Conduct design reviews of blocks with peers and management to ensure specifications are met.
