Job description

The Senior Data Scientist role at Apple focuses on leading analysis into annotation project trends to optimize task design and improve performance. The position is part of the AIML Data Operations group, which aims to deliver high-quality annotated data for innovative AI technology. The candidate will work closely with various teams to translate insights into effective project structures and workflows. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to drive data-informed decisions across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data science with proven skills in developing meaningful analytic objectives.
  • Mastery in SQL-based languages and proficiency in at least one large-scale data language.
  • Strong hands-on experience with machine learning models and analytic solutions using Python or R.
  • Experience with the deployment of Large Language Models or Generative AI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis into annotation project trends to uncover patterns in performance and task complexity.
  • Translate behavioral insights into optimized project structures and workflows.
  • Power capacity planning and optimization with quantitative rigor.
  • Collaborate with Data Ops Client Engagement and Human Factors engineering teams.
  • Communicate key data insights to improve performance and customer experience.
