JobsDisplay Panel Design Engineer
Job description
Apple is seeking a circuit design engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies for mobile, laptop, and desktop displays. The display panel design team focuses on creating advanced circuits and designs to achieve superior display performance in Apple products. The role involves architecting and developing display circuits, including pixels and driving circuits, for mass production. The engineer will engage in circuit simulation, layout optimization, and co-design with other components.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Experience with electrical engineering circuit design fundamentals, both analog and digital, is necessary.
- Proficiency in SPICE/Cadence modeling and simulation is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Technical knowledge of displays or related electronics is needed.
- Experience in display pixel and gate driver designs is required.
- Understanding of Thin-Film Transistors (TFTs) and the display panel process is necessary.
- Experience in characterizing the electrical performance of circuits is required.
- Experience in designing and manufacturing high-volume display products is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced display circuits for Apple products.
- Conduct circuit simulations and layout optimizations.
- Architect whole panel designs and perform simulations.
- Collaborate with other components such as sensing and cameras for co-existence designs.
- Ensure designs are suitable for mass production.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
