The Senior Product Manager for Applied Analytics, Data Engineering & AI/GenAI at Apple will lead the development of application-layer data and AI capabilities built on Apple's Data Platform. This role focuses on transforming foundational data infrastructure into developer-facing products and intelligent services. The position requires close collaboration with various teams to design and deliver data services, APIs, and AI-powered experiences. The ideal candidate will balance platform constraints with customer needs while driving product vision and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of product management experience building enterprise or platform products.
- Strong experience working with analytics, data engineering systems, data platforms, or large-scale distributed infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to take products from concept to launch, including vision setting, roadmap ownership, and execution.
- Working knowledge of modern data and AI stacks, including cloud-based data platforms and analytics systems.
- Deep understanding of data engineering concepts such as ingestion pipelines, transformations, batch and streaming systems, metadata, lineage, and governance.
- Experience building or productizing AI/ML or GenAI-powered features.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and enterprise-scale deployments.
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to reason about tradeoffs across performance, cost, reliability, and usability.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces and shaping direction where requirements are not fully defined.
Responsibilities
- Own product capabilities that sit above Apple's core data platform.
- Partner closely with data platform engineering, AI/ML infrastructure, privacy, security, and application teams.
- Design and deliver application-layer data services and APIs.
- Create platform intelligence that helps developers troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines.
- Develop AI and GenAI-powered experiences for data creation, transformation, governance, and analysis.
- Provide tooling that enables developers, analysts, and product teams to safely build data-driven and AI-native applications at scale.
- Define product vision and shape multi-quarter roadmaps.
- Drive execution from concept through launch while balancing platform constraints and customer needs.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
