Job description
The iPhone team at Apple is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to take on significant challenges in systems hardware design. This role involves designing future Apple products from concept to mass production, focusing on main logic boards and system-level solutions. Requirements
- BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, including analog and digital design
- Experience working with dynamic multi-functional teams
- Experience with tradeoff analysis and directional proposals
- MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 10 years of industry experience preferred
- High-speed digital design experience
- Schematic capture and PCB layout of complex HDI boards
- Familiarity with System in Package (SiP) designs
- Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and debug
- Knowledge of signal and power integrity fundamentals
- Understanding of low-voltage power regulation solutions
- Integration of hardware into multi-functional systems
- Use of AI/scripting languages to assist with hardware development
- Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from design through to production
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Own the design, integration, and validation of main logic boards
- Perform component fit/routing layout studies
- Create overall system-level solutions that meet product goals
- Collaborate daily with multi-functional technology teams
- Push the boundaries of technology in hardware design
