Job description
The Packaging PD team at Apple is responsible for the design and execution of structural packaging for all Apple products, ensuring an outstanding customer experience while advancing sustainability goals. The team collaborates with various departments, including Industrial Design and Marketing, to innovate packaging solutions. They seek a candidate who is passionate about problem-solving and eager to learn about packaging design and sustainable materials. Requirements
- 5 years of related industry experience
- BS degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Science or related industry
- Experience working with 3D and 2D CAD
- Strong engineering fundamentals
- Ability to travel up to 20% to support engineering build activities
- Innovative thinking and high personal motivation
- Flexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environment
- Effective verbal and written presentation skills
- Prototyping experience
- Data-driven design approach to complex problems
- Experience with design cycle from concept to manufacturing in mass-production
- Knowledge of material science and FEA
- Knowledge of fiber-based materials
