Join Apple's Cellular Software team as a key member of the Cellular Layer1 Control Software team, where you will develop and implement groundbreaking embedded software for mobile wireless communications systems. This role focuses on crafting sophisticated software that enhances user experience across Apple products like iPhone and iPad. You will work collaboratively with other product development groups to innovate new cellular technologies and push industry boundaries. The team is dedicated to solving everyday problems for customers and improving connectivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Wireless Communications or equivalent.
- 3-5+ years of experience in software/firmware engineering including development, debugging, and testing.
- Working knowledge of computer architecture with emphasis on HW/SW interfaces of high-speed communication subsystems.
- Good understanding of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and concurrent programming (C or C++).
- Experience with the development of tools and scripting for verification/analysis of a product.
- Experience in embedded cellular 3G/4G/5G PHY L1 Software/Firmware.
- Experience in SW verification and HW validation utilizing scripting and/or automation frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Specify, design, and implement PHY/Layer1 Control Software/Firmware for mobile wireless communications systems.
- Implement key scheduling and control processing under tight timeline, latency, and energy constraints.
- Analyze logs and resolve issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Debug embedded software systems using system simulators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers.
- Work on Silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms.
