Job description

The iPhone team is seeking experienced Hardware Design Engineers who are passionate about making impactful design decisions that enhance the user experience for millions of iPhone users. This role involves collaborating with a creative and dedicated team, starting from product concept and continuing through to mass production. Engineers will lead designs that push technological boundaries and work in a fast-paced environment with multi-functional teams. Opportunities for international travel are also available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of industry experience in hardware design
  • Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including analog and high-speed digital design
  • Experience with complex system architectures and design trade-offs
  • Hands-on experience with lab test equipment for debugging hardware issues
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and integration of custom hardware into constrained systems
  • Collaborate daily with multi-functional technology teams
  • Drive system-level issues to closure in a proactive team-based environment
  • Analyze solutions and make informed system design trade-offs
  • Prototype design and validation with custom silicon
  • Utilize scripting languages to assist with hardware development
