JobsAnalog Mixed-Signal Modeling Software Engineer
Job description
Apple Silicon Engineering is looking for Hardware-minded Software Engineers to develop innovative tools for designing the next generation of Apple’s systems-on-chip (SOCs). This role focuses on creating specialized software tools and simulation platforms for analog mixed-signal circuits. The position requires a blend of software engineering and hardware knowledge to assist circuit designers in connecting Apple's processors to the physical world. Candidates will work on automation frameworks, optimization algorithms, and modeling environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or C++
- Strong background in object-oriented programming (OOP) and software architecture design
- Experience with computational geometry, constraint solvers, or optimization algorithms
- Knowledge of event-driven programming and system-level simulation frameworks
- Understanding of analog layout principles and EDA tool APIs and file formats
- Experience developing web applications and designing frontend user interfaces
Responsibilities
- Develop software representations of future hardware circuits
- Create specialized software tools for analog mixed-signal circuit design
- Build automation frameworks and optimization algorithms
- Enable hundreds of designers through effective modeling environments
- Work on challenging problems at the intersection of software development and hardware design
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage.
