Job description

The Customer Engineering Manager for Platform, SLED at Google leads customer engineering teams and is responsible for providing technical and solution advice to accelerate workload migration for public sector institutions. This role focuses on building a growth culture within the team while fostering partnerships with key customers. The manager will also collaborate with Google Cloud Sales leadership to define technical strategies and ensure operational excellence. The position requires a balance of technical leadership and team management to drive cloud transformation outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • 3 years of experience as a Pre-Sales Manager or a people manager in a technical customer-facing role within a Sales Engineering team.
  • 3 years of experience in leadership, including people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Customer Engineers and build a thriving growth culture.
  • Foster strong partnerships with key customers across the book of business.
  • Partner with Google Cloud Sales leadership to define technical go-to-market strategies and execution plans.
