Job description

The iPhone System Performance EPM team is focused on enhancing the capabilities of next-generation smartphones through collaboration with various technical teams. This role involves influencing system architecture decisions and ensuring a balance between power and efficiency. The EPM will coordinate assessments during the engineering phase and advocate for product performance. Strong communication skills are essential for translating complex data into actionable insights for leadership.

Requirements

  • BS engineering degree required.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and familiarity with the consumer electronics industry.
  • Experience with computer architecture and thermal performance concepts.
  • MS EE/ECE or related field desired.
  • 5 years of highly relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the process to ensure smartphones deliver the required mix of power and efficiency.
  • Establish performance and thermal targets during the early stages of product definition.
  • Partner with hardware, software, and silicon teams for detailed system-level assessments.
  • Use data to help navigate tradeoffs and define performance-centric control policies.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to identify root causes and drive resolutions when roadblocks occur.
  • Distill complex data into clear insights for executive decisions and product strategy.
