The HomeKit team is looking for a dedicated engineer to enhance the home automation platform, enabling seamless interaction between accessories, iOS devices, and applications. This role involves working across various layers of the software stack, including protocol design and developer APIs. The engineer will have the opportunity to refine existing features and innovate new ideas that will define the future of home connectivity. The ultimate goal is to create an exceptional home automation experience that customers will love.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in one or more object-oriented languages such as Objective-C, Swift, or C++.
- Excellent experience with operating systems concepts that contribute to application performance and scalability.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with a passion for product quality and attention to detail.
- Experience shipping real products to customers.
- Experience with Smart Home technology.
