This role involves working with multi-modal sensor-based algorithms that significantly impact Apple customers' lives. The team focuses on innovative features such as Crash Detection and Fall Detection, blending scientific research with product development. They are looking for a passionate individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to cutting-edge AI/ML models.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Proficient in coding with Python and/or Matlab.
  • Experience in validating AI models and performing statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with building data pipelines for large-scale data processing.
  • Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and AWS services/API such as S3 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest performance and quality of multi-modal sensor-based algorithms.
  • Drive the development of contextual awareness and safety features.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote innovation and new technology.
  • Analyze data and create visualizations and reports.
  • Test hardware and software, including designing and executing test plans.
  • Investigate and debug issues to drive solutions to complex problems.

Benefits

Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
