Job description
This role involves working within Apple's RF system engineering and architecture group, focusing on defining and managing RF requirements for devices in next generation radio access networks. The team is dedicated to researching emerging spectrum trends and RF architecture evolution, with an emphasis on 6G technologies. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in RF.
- Expertise in transmitter and receiver architectures and system design.
- In-depth knowledge of cellular radio standards including GSM, UMTS, LTE, and NR.
- Experience in RF roadmap definition and 3GPP scoping towards RF requirements.
- Background in 3GPP RAN working group participation, particularly RAN4, is a plus.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a multi-functional environment.
- Experience in simulation development and scripting, incorporating AI and ML tools into engineering practices.
- Deep understanding of digital communications theory and cellular network design principles.
