Job description
Join Apple's Wireless System-on-Chip (SoC) design team to work on next-generation modem architectures and develop advanced physical-layer algorithms for products like AirPods, iPhone, and Apple Watch. The role involves system modeling, design, and simulation while collaborating with RF, antenna, firmware, and software engineers. You will help transform innovative wireless concepts into reality, enhancing the end-user experience. This position requires a deep understanding of complex wireless systems and their interactions.
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field.
- MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Digital Communications and Signal Processing.
- Strong software programming skills for RF/PHY modeling and MAC protocol simulation.
- Proficiency in Matlab, C, and C++.
- Experience with large-scale field and simulation dataset processing.
- Publications or patents in wireless communications or signal processing.
- Knowledge of analog/RF impairments in wireless systems.
- Experience with industry standards such as Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband, and GPS.
Responsibilities
- Design and simulate wireless systems.
- Collaborate with Radio/RTL/FW teams and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct pre-/post silicon bring-up in the lab.
- Deliver products that enhance the end-user experience.
- Engage in hands-on lab FPGA/silicon bring-up and PHY/RF/MAC testing.
