Job description

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
  • Proficiency with embedded development
  • 5+ years of firmware or device driver development experience
  • Strong coding skills in C and C++
  • Experience with embedded Real Time Operating Systems such as FreeRTOS or VxWorks
  • Familiarity with common interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART, and USB
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M/R/A compilers and toolchains
  • Familiarity with debugging tools and oscilloscopes
  • Experience with networking, concurrency, and distributed systems for fault-tolerant applications
  • Experience with various sensor modalities including cameras and LiDAR
  • Experience in motor controls, actuation, and audio systems
  • Background in electromechanical systems and real-time control systems
  • Experience using Linux+PreemptRT or QNX in real-time applications
  • Knowledge of software development standards in safety-critical environments such as DO-178B/C or ISO 26262

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement firmware and low-level software for new Apple products
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, controls, and AIML engineering teams
  • Rapidly prototype and validate novel concepts
  • Demonstrate the viability and potential of new technologies to influence product direction
