The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role at Apple involves owning the design and implementation of the quality assurance process within the Joint Mobile Engineering Team. This team focuses on enhancing customer safety and privacy through security services integrated with hardware. The position requires collaboration with software development and SRE teams to ensure high-quality software products. The SDET will also drive advancements in test strategies and maintain automation for complex services.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering foundation with hands-on proficiency in Java and C.
- Working knowledge of Python, Bash, and scripting for QE tooling.
- Experience with REST API testing and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Deep understanding of security and embedded systems concepts.
- Solid experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience in designing and building test automation frameworks.
- Strong QE methodology knowledge and grasp of SDLC best practices.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience in relevant fields.
Responsibilities
