Job description
The Timing Radio Integration Engineer will be a vital member of the wireless SoC design group, focusing on integrating next-generation wireless SoCs into high-volume production for Apple products. This role is part of a world-class modem team that develops sophisticated embedded firmware and innovative cellular technologies. The engineer will work closely with various engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of hardware elements. The position requires a strong background in both analog and digital design to enhance the user experience through advanced wireless connectivity solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with analog and digital timing closure tools like NanoTime and PrimeTime.
- Familiarity with custom analog blocks within radio transceivers, such as digital PLLs and RX/TX datapath IPs.
- Experience with Cadence Spectre analog design tools for running analog simulations.
- Solid digital background in RTL design, synthesis, and FE-STA.
Responsibilities
- Integrate and bring next-generation wireless SoCs into high-volume production.
- Collaborate with digital teams to architect high-speed data paths and DSPs.
- Utilize digital power analysis tools to evaluate digital radio blocks' power profiles.
- Verify signal integrity and connectivity at the radio level using analog modeling and netlist verification tools.
- Support ATPG and DFT for SOC scan debug chains and their timing to the radio sub-cells.
