Job description
Join Apple's Wireless Connectivity Silicon team as an Embedded Firmware Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the development of wireless System on a Chip (SoC) solutions. This position focuses on crafting and implementing embedded firmware for SoC bring up and wireless connectivity enablement. You will collaborate closely with product software and manufacturing teams to facilitate RF and PHY calibrations, algorithms, and testing. Your contributions will directly impact the delivery of functional wireless products to millions of customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of industry experience.
- Strong background in embedded firmware development using C and assembly languages.
- Familiarity with ARM CPUs and their internals.
- Good understanding of embedded wireless communication systems and key RF performance metrics.
- Experience with digital signal processing algorithms.
- Knowledge of low-level hardware interfaces and bare-metal software development.
- Solid understanding of basic embedded concepts such as RTOS and multi-processor systems.
- Fluency in using lab equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Experience implementing diagnostics and manufacturing tests.
- Knowledge of industry standards for wireless communications such as Bluetooth and WLAN.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or Perl.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Craft and implement embedded firmware for SoC bring up and wireless connectivity.

- Conduct testing to enable productization of the silicon/system.
