Job description

The System Validation Engineer will develop, implement, and execute validation plans for datacenter systems intended for large scale deployment. This role involves collaboration with multiple teams to ensure hardware validation and early issue capture in the development life cycle. The engineer will focus on validating and debugging customized platforms for Apple's future application environments. This position requires a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and performance of system hardware and components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to review architecture and system documents and identify validation test cases and test plans.
  • Experience with system and rack validation, including functional, power, performance, and stress testing.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with test automation and large scale testing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of system hardware, components, CPUs, and associated subsystems.
  • Specialize in system validation of modern CPU architecture based technologies for large scale deployments.
  • Prepare, implement, automate, and maintain validation test plans and procedures.
  • Use stress tools and benchmarks to evaluate system behavior and identify patterns and test cases.
  • Identify, design, and develop tools that can expand test coverage.
