As a DDR Silicon Validation Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in the validation and characterization of advanced DDR memory interfaces within mobile SoCs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in DDR memory validation, characterization, or bring-up.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
  • Strong hands-on lab skills with test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and BERTs.
  • Deep understanding of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) concepts and measurement techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug complex silicon issues and drive root cause analysis.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive bench-level validation, bring-up, and characterization of DDR memory interfaces.
  • Develop and execute electrical tests to assess performance and reliability.
  • Automate data collection processes to streamline testing and analysis.
  • Provide crucial design feedback through detailed analysis and reporting.
  • Debug complex silicon issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, System HW, SW, and ATE.
