Job description

The Wireless System Engineer at Apple will work on advanced Physical Layer wireless communication algorithms within custom silicon. This role is essential for ensuring the performance and integration of these algorithms into upcoming products that will enhance user experiences. The engineer will manage the entire lifecycle of wireless algorithms, from design to deployment. Requirements

  • BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • MSEE or PhD degrees.
  • Profound understanding of wireless communication theory and advanced topics like OFDM and MIMO.
  • Experience designing firmware-based algorithms involving MAC-PHY interactions.
  • Experience with pre-silicon validation using emulation and FPGA prototyping tools.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end performance and seamless integration of wireless communication algorithms.
  • Translate sophisticated algorithmic concepts into optimized system functionality.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of wireless algorithms from design to deployment.
  • Design test plans and collaborate with automation/test engineers to implement them.
  • Utilize wireless test lab equipment for system characterization and debugging.
