Job description

This role is part of the Software Engineering team responsible for shipping Apple's operating systems, including macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS. The ideal candidate will have strong OS fundamentals and excellent communication skills, contributing to a collaborative environment focused on innovation. The position involves working cross-functionally to understand software shipping requirements and ensuring the delivery of beta software to customers and developers. A passion for software automation and release engineering is essential.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Build and Release Engineering or Release Management experience is highly desirable.
  • Project management experience in the software development life cycle is highly desirable.
  • Unix programming or scripting experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to understand the requirements for shipping OS software.
  • Provide daily prioritized information to the build and integration team on upcoming releases.
  • Own the responsibility for delivering beta software for various Apple devices.
  • Support engineering teams to execute secrecy initiatives for OS releases.
