The Sensing Hardware Test team at Apple is looking for an exceptional engineer to develop metrology solutions for advanced sensing technology. This role involves owning the architecture of precision test stations and collaborating with hardware, software, and operations teams. Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
- Practical knowledge in electrical design and analysis with hands-on experience using common electronic instrumentation.
- Hands-on programming skills in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems and mechatronics integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the integrated architecture of precision test stations including mechanical fixtures and motion control systems.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and operations teams to deliver intelligent test solutions.
- Explore advanced sensing technology and deploy innovative test infrastructure for mass production.
- Design robust and scalable test solutions for high-throughput production environments.
- Work with external vendors to integrate test solutions and develop complex algorithms for signal processing or control.
