Job description
The Hardware Technology Packaging team at Apple focuses on inventing, designing, and developing electronic packaging solutions for various consumer electronic products. In this role, you will lead the development of package substrate technology and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize package performance. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of package substrate, including design, technology, manufacturing, and reliability. This position requires collaboration with the substrate manufacturing industry to bring innovative solutions from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience or a Master's or Ph.D. with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven fundamentals in material, chemistry, or mechanical engineering fields.
- In-depth knowledge of substrate technology, manufacturing processes, design rules, and roadmaps.
- Hands-on experience in substrate manufacturing and technology development.
- Familiarity with package assembly and integration processes is preferred.
- Experience with Cadence Allegro platform tools and design review for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead SoC package substrate technology development and roadmap definition.
- Work with substrate manufacturing industry, foundry, and OSAT to bring package substrate solutions from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
- Drive the industry with sophisticated package solutions, new architecture, material and process development, and specification definitions.
- Manage technology development and project management tasks.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
