Job description
The tvOS Ecosystem team at Apple is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to enhance the Apple TV and HomePod experience. This role involves collaborating with various teams to build innovative features and improve system-level software. The engineer will tackle complex challenges related to multitasking, system performance, and user interface design. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages in a highly scalable environment.
- Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding experience, including work with APIs, frameworks, and SDKs.
- Keen attention to detail in building UI and end-user experiences, particularly for Apple platforms.
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Experience debugging and optimizing code to maximize performance.
- Ability to analyze large features and implement practical solutions.
- Aptitude to independently learn new technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Design, Frameworks, media playback, and Core OS teams.
- Propose, implement, and present ideas that shape the Apple TV and HomePod experience.
- Own significant features in critical areas of tvOS.
- Drive full-product solutions involving extended team members as needed.
- Solve complex challenges and create exceptional user experiences.
