Job description
Apple's RF System Engineering team is looking for an expert to define the next generation of Cellular RF Receiver architectures. Requirements
- BSEE degree is required.
- Understanding of Cellular Radio/3GPP Standards including UMTS, LTE, and 5G NR.
- Knowledge of RF receiver architectures from antenna to analog/digital base band processing.
- Proficiency in hardware/software co-design and understanding of trade-offs in digital implementations.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python or C++ is required.
- Experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) for optimization.
- Expertise in microcontroller architectures for real-time operation.
- Proficiency in AI/ML applications using tools like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of cellular modem architectures and associated algorithms.
- PhD degree focused on RF, particularly cellular receiver architectures.
- System Engineering experience with a background in DSP for wireless communication.
- Proficiency in mathematical modeling and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver groundbreaking wireless solutions for future Apple products.
- Drive the control architecture and algorithms for the RF receiver.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, RF circuit design, and software engineering teams.
- Push the boundaries of performance, quality, and implementation efficiency.

- Build abstract system models leveraging control theory and optimization theory.
