Job description

The Apple Cloud Engineering team is seeking a skilled software engineer to develop and integrate software for orchestrating workloads across advanced data center systems. This role involves collaborating with various teams to utilize hardware acceleration for machine learning and high-performance computing. The engineer will focus on building and maintaining system software, ensuring high quality and agility through testing. The position requires a passion for tackling challenging problems and a commitment to optimizing core infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Proficiency in C/C++
  • Strong knowledge of operating system and firmware development fundamentals
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with fleet software management and debugging software at scale
  • Good understanding of networking protocols and distributed systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain system infrastructure for next-generation data centers
  • Develop and integrate best-in-class hardware, software, and services
  • Ensure high quality and agility with unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with architecture, platform design, SOC architects, and software teams
  • Occasionally go on-call to support the software deployed
