Job description
Apple is seeking a creative and highly motivated Network Architect to join the Systems and Infrastructure team. This role focuses on designing and architecting large-scale distributed networks, ensuring robust network security and performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of network protocols and standards. You will contribute to building and managing world-class services that support Apple's software engineers globally.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale data center network architecture and WiFi design
- BS, BA, or BEng degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
- Deep knowledge of multi-site networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and security frameworks
- Executive-level presentation skills and cross-functional leadership abilities
- Experience working cross-functionally to resolve complex issues and meet project timelines
- Hands-on experience designing secure wired and WiFi networks
Responsibilities
- Lead network projects and develop a roadmap for the organization
- Utilize automation tools to eliminate routine tasks and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex networking issues
- Design and implement secure network architectures for both wired and wireless environments
