In this role at Apple, you will oversee the full testing lifecycle for critical features in upcoming media product and service releases. You will advocate for customers who rely on accessibility accommodations, ensuring their experience is prioritized. The position requires a deep understanding of assistive technology and encompasses software quality engineering and accessible design expertise. You will also develop scalable UI automation solutions to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Quality Assurance Engineering or Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET).
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining UI automation frameworks at scale.
- Proficiency in Python for test scripting and automation infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Swift and/or SwiftUI with experience in XCTest and XCUITest.
- Deep knowledge of assistive technology features across Apple's platforms.
- Experience with manual end-to-end testing.
- Strong working knowledge of WCAG guidelines and accessibility best practices.
- Experience authoring clear and detailed bug reports.
Responsibilities
- Own the full testing lifecycle including test strategy and results reporting.
- Architect and maintain scalable UI automation solutions using XCTest/XCUITest, Python, and Swift.
- Reduce manual testing burden and accelerate release confidence through automation.
- Evaluate and communicate design decisions through an accessibility lens.
- Facilitate decisions among senior and cross-functional leaders.
- Ensure accessibility is integrated into the product development process.
