This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, develop automation, and execute validation plans. The SDET will be responsible for investigating test failures and diagnosing issues at the kernel and infrastructure level. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a systems-level mindset to influence quality decisions across teams.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python and C.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to define test strategy.
  • Develop robust automation and execute validation plans.
  • Investigate and triage test failures and diagnose kernel and infrastructure-level issues.
  • Improve test frameworks and build automation for reliable feedback.
  • Communicate quality status to stakeholders and manage project timelines.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
